Earlier this spring, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) installed temporary traffic signals at the intersection of Lexington Drive and Holiday Drive. The signals addressed the additional volume of traffic that WisDOT anticipated to use alternate routes during the US 14 (Humes Road) closure and reconstruction.
With the recent reopening of a single travel lane in each direction on Humes Road, WisDOT will remove the temporary signals within the next several weeks. The signals will be put into an all-red flash mode starting next Wednesday, September 14. They will remain in this mode for a minimum of one week or until the temporary signals are removed.
WisDOT plans to also remove the temporary traffic signals at Morse Street and Ryan Road. However, it will remain operational until all lanes of traffic are reopened on Humes Road.
